Presenter(s)
Paige Shevlin, Strategic Advisor for Infrastructure Workforce Development, U.S. Department of Transportation
Manny Lamarre, Senior Advisor, U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration
This webinar will raise awareness to state apprenticeship expansion grantees of current opportunities funded through IIJA that their state may benefit from leveraging in support of registered apprenticeship expansion efforts.
The goals of this webinar are to:
- Ensure state apprenticeship expansion grantees already supporting infrastructure-related sectors and occupations are aware of how to connect with IIJA efforts;
- Show grantees potential ways they can align with and leverage existing investments to benefit their registered apprenticeship expansion efforts;
- Inspire state apprenticeship expansion grantees who are not already targeting infrastructure-related sectors and occupations to track occupational demands resulting from IIJA investments; and
- Explore how Registered Apprenticeship Programs might meet recruitment and training needs in their state.
While this webinar is targeted toward state apprenticeship expansion grantees, other organizations may be interested in learning about opportunities to align their current apprenticeship efforts to IIJA.
